Since finishing my Photography degree in 1993 @ the Royal Institute of Technology, I have endeavored to exhibit my artwork annually. I have almost achieved this goal, only failing to do so the years living in London to assist, and the first year of my two year Honours post graduate study. The Honours years enabled me to see the thread of 12 years of photographic artwork. The constant reoccurring theme of personal and public space then became evident, and continues with current projects. The closing of the studio mid 2006, and the intention of working in Europe from November 2005 until June 2006, is enabling me more time to devote to these projects.Since the introduction of the digital revolution, the commercial side of me has demanded a constant re evaluation of film verses digital. The art side of me, however, has continued to embrace alternative ways of image making, which, ironically, are seen as just as relevant by commercial and art clients than in previous climates. All artwork viewed here produced prior to the Honours years of 2001 - 2002, was created on both medium and 135mm format b+w TMAX film, hand printed onto fibre based paper and toned. All artwork viewed here produced since then is 5x4" Polaroid film, scanned and printed onto water colour paper or canvas.
